About Me

Hi! I’m Kristy Wu, a first-generation college graduate from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, along with a minor in Communications. I also earned certificates in Professional Sales, Behavioral Business Research, and Global Leadership.

Originally born and raised in Wisconsin, I quickly fell in love with Washington after visiting my sister in 2018. When I first entered WSU, I planned to pursue accounting, but I soon realized my passion truly aligned with marketing — a field that allows me to combine strategy, creativity, and communication.

Creativity has always been a huge part of who I am. Ever since I was young, I’ve loved creating things, whether through art, design, content, or digital media. I’m excited to continue growing creatively and professionally as I begin my next chapter in marketing and communications.

As a Marketing Intern at the International Center at Washington State University, I designed promotional materials and event flyers using Canva to increase awareness and student engagement. I supported campus outreach efforts by creating visually engaging content that encouraged attendance and strengthened communication with students.

National MS Society

As a Social Media Intern for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, I assisted with social media content creation, caption writing, and community engagement. I helped share impactful stories from individuals affected by multiple sclerosis while using Sprout Social to support content scheduling and community management.

Marketing Club

As Vice President of Communications for the Marketing Club at Washington State University, I created promotional graphics, managed club communications, and distributed weekly email updates to members. I also collaborated with fellow executive officers to support event planning, increase student involvement, and maintain consistent club branding.

Merrill Gardens

During my time as a Marketing Intern at Merrill Gardens, I supported digital marketing initiatives across multiple senior living communities. My responsibilities included updating community websites, drafting Facebook content, assisting with quarterly marketing reports, and managing social media workflows using tools such as SOCi and Smartsheet. This experience strengthened my skills in digital marketing coordination, brand consistency, and cross-functional collaboration.
